Angel Chacon to make comeback in Illinois

Press Release: Super featherweight Daniel Jimenez will battle veteran Angel Chacon on Friday, June 1, 2007 at Cicero Stadium in the ten round co-feature.  The twenty six year old Jimenez, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, is trained by Evangelista Cotto, uncle and trainer of world champion Miguel Cotto. He brings a record of 16-1-1, undefeated since losing his pro debut in 2000.  Chacon, 30-7-2 is a former world title challenger whose career includes wins over John Michael Johnson and Emmanuel Lucero. Additionally, he has gone the distance with former world champion Oscar Larios.  The show is headlined by a world class welterweight bout between former world title challenger Ben Tackie of Ghana and highly regarded prospect Freddy Hernandez of Mexico City.
