Andre Ward wins controversially

Andre Ward W6 Darrell Boone... 2004 Olympic gold medal winner Andre Ward got knocked down in round four and struggled to a points victory over Darrell Boone, 6-3-1, in the chief supporting bout for Mayweather-Mitchell.  Ward carried the official scorecards by counts of 58-56, 59-55 and an unrealistic 57-56. He improved to 7-0 but will have some explaining to do.

Steve Forbes KO3 Julio Cesar Sanchez... Steve Forbes, a former 130-pound world title holder now campaigning at 140, stayed busy with a third-round knockout of journeyman Julio Cesar Sanchez. Forbes, rated the #17 junior welterweight by Boxingtalk, improves to  29-3 but he has yet to be in a meaningful fight at this weight. Sanchez drops to 22-16-1.
