Anchondo back in December!

Press Relase: Mike Anchondo will return to action December 9, 2005 in the Bronx for the first time after his disastrous title fight earlier this year. Anchondo was a hyped prospect with a 25-0 record and a strong amateur background. Anchondo held the WBO 130-pound title but for his first defense, he failed to make weight and then was knocked out by Jorge Barrios. Anchondo will face tough Antonio Ramirez (28-7) of the Dominican Republic on Cedric Kushner Promotions’ Boxeo Caliente show at the Paradise Theater in the Bronx.  The show will also feature Bronx star Jorge Teron (8-0, 6 KO's), and Maureen Shea (3-0) along with Reggaeton musical performances in between bouts and the spectacular Boxeo Caliente Dancers in the club environment. Two other excellent bouts are planned: Julio Cesar Garcia (33-2) of Mexico vs. Moises Pedroza (25-6) of Colombia and Jose Nieves (13-0) of Puerto Rico, vs. Angel Priolo (33-3) of Colombia.  The original Loews Paradise Theater first opened in 1929 and was restored earlier this year in 2005. FOX en Espanol will broadcast the event on December 23, 11 PM/ET, 8 PM/PT. Tickets are available at TicketMaster.
