Tommy Smalls, who says he is the manager of both Hector Camacho, Jr. and Hector Camacho, Sr. has e-mailed Boxingtalk to offer the services of father or son against Arturo Gatti. "Either one of them would like to fight Gatti in July... If Gatti beats the son, then he can fight the father. If he beats the father, then he can fight the son." Gatti, promoted by Main Events, is scheduled to fight in his home base of Atlantic City on July 14, 2007. The biggest problem with Hector Camacho Sr. is that Gatti is a welterweight and the 44-year old Camacho Sr. hasn't made 147 since fighting Oscar De La Hoya in 1997.
