Amir Khan to promote Pakistani show on Dec. 19th

Former world 140-pound champion Amir Khan (pictured), through his company Amir Khan Promotions, will do a boxing show in Pakistan on December 19th. The show will take place at the Governor House in the city of Lahore. Although no main event has been announced, Pakistan's Muhammad Waseem will be featured in his first pro fight in his home country. The flyweight Waseem (10-1) lost a 2018 IBF title challenge to Moruti Mthalane in 2018, but has gotten two wins since then, including one over former WBC 108-pound title holder Ganigan Lopez.  Waseem said: “I want to say a very big thank you to my big brother, Amir Khan, who has given me the opportunity that I have been waiting for to make my debut in Pakistan. This is where my journey started as an eight-year-old, and it was always my dream to fight for a title in my home country, so this opportunity means so much to me. This will be history for Pakistan as it is the first ever WBC boxing event in Pakistan, and I want to thank my management team MTK Global and my coaches Danny Vaughan and Dominic Vaughan too. They are preparing me to be in the best shape, and have prepared me for war. I promise I will not let my country and my team down.”
