Alexander conquers Corley

Devon Alexander W12 Demarcus Corley... In a crossroads fight, young Devon Alexander put a very recognizable name on his resume, outpointing ex-titlist Demarcus Corley in a regional junior welterweight bout. At 20 years old, he's unable to legally purchase booze but he was able to defeat Corley by a wide margin, 116-111 and 118-109 (twice). The fight didn't capture the energy of the crowd, but both fighters worked hard, throwing over 800 punches each. Alexander was credited with outlanding Corley 271-127. There were no knockdowns in the pay-per-view opener, and Alexander was docked a point late in the fight.  Alexander is 14-0, and deserves more exposure and activity. Corley, on the other hand, falls to 31-8-1, including four losses in a row.
