Press Release: Mediterranean Championship at the North Sea

Mahir Oral and Alexander Sipos both weighed in at exactly 160 lbs. for their WBC Mediterranean middleweight championship clash tomorrow (Tuesday) in Cuxhaven , Germany . It is the second time Oral and Sipos meet in 2008. On May 30th “Lion” Mahir won a close unanimous decision in Bilbao , Spain . Now Sipos is seeking revenge.

The other fights in Cuxhaven feature some of the best German heavyweights today. Steffen Kretschmann (12-0, 11 kos, 229 lbs.) faces “Highlander” Marcel Zeller (21-2, 20 kos, 233 lbs.) and Konstantin Airich (10-1-1, 9 kos, 225 lbs.) takes on Alexander Jakob (25-4-1, 15 kos, 247 lbs.)

Also on the card: Former two-times world heavyweight champion Herbie Hide (45-4, 42 kos, 207 lbs.) who steps into the ring with Polish journeyman Lukask Rusiewicz.

The show starts at 7pm and will be broadcasted live on Eurosport from 9pm on.
