The WBC announced the death of young, undefeated lightweight Alejandro González (listed on Boxrec as Javier Alejandro Gonzalez Barrientos). Born in Torreon, Mexico and nicknamed “Rusito” González, left this world at the age of 21 after bravely fighting against cancer. He turned pro at 16, put up a record of 15-0 with 11 KOs and had not fought since April 2019. Boxingtalk joins the WBC in sending its deepest condloences for the loss of this young warrior.
