Aaron Williams added to OLN card!

Undefeated Cruiserweight prospect Aaron Williams (8-0-1, 6 KO’s) has been added to Thursday’s OLN Fight Night card, August 10th at the Orleans Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas Nevada.  Williams will face Terrance Smith (4-3, 3 KO’s) in a six round bout. “We are very grateful to Brad Goodman and Top Rank for this opportunity,” said William’s co-manager, Patrick Doljanin.

Williams, 20, continues to gain attention as a fighter to watch in the newly rejuvenated Cruiserweight division.  As an amateur stand-out, Williams won 9-National Amateur Titles, including three victories over current, world-rated Cruiserweight, Matt Godfrey.

“I’ve been training very hard since my last fight”, said Williams after a recent work-out at the Top Rank Gym.  “I’ve been boxing with all types of fighters: Sam Peter, Herbie Hide and the Dirrell brothers.  I’m sharp, ready and want to fight as often as possible.”

Williams, fighting out of Las Vegas, is trained by the highly regarded Jesse Reid.  “The thing that impresses me most about Aaron is his maturity and boxing ability at such a young age.  With time, there is no doubt he will become a champion,” said Reid.

Williams is schedule to fight next in his hometown, Cleveland, on September 16th.

OLN “Fight Night” is a partnership with Promoter Bob Arum, and Top Rank Inc, that will bring professional boxing to the network's sports lineup. The newly added Fight Night will showcase 12 live events per year, or roughly one per month. Wally Matthews, a veteran boxing writer who has covered the sport for two decades, and Bob Papa, who has called boxing for ESPN and currently for NBC, will host Fight Night on OLN, while Michael Buffer will serve as the ring announcer.
