Press Release: 8 Count Productions is preparing for another outstanding year of presenting world class professional boxing for Chicagoland fight fans. Said Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count, “last year we promoted 18 events and we’re looking at a similar number this year. We had a terrific 2006 with some outstanding battles in front of huge crowds. Chicago fight fans have been very loyal to us with their enthusiastic support and we’ve repaid them by consistently providing high quality events. That’s our continued commitment to them in 2007. On Friday, January 26th, we’re back at Cicero Stadium with Antonio Escalante in the main event. He’s at the top of the list of many national boxing writers as one of the hottest prospects in boxing. Last January, Jose Hernandez and Escalante had a ten round war which Solo Boxeo voted as [its] Fight of the Year... We’ve also got our undefeated lightweight prospect Mike Gonzalez on the card along with newcomers Jonas Hernandez, Oscar De La Cruz, Gustavo Palacios and female Brooke Dierdorff in separate bouts.” On February 17, 2007, 8 Count will return to Cicero Stadium with fast rising flyweight superstar Giovanni Segura in the main event and undefeated light heavyweight prospect Tavoris Cloud returning to the ring. In March and April 2007, 8 Count Productions will serve as the lead sponsor for the Chicago Golden Gloves. Said Pesoli, “We’re very happy to again lend our support to the Chicago Golden Gloves. Their long history of being a national leader in amateur boxing speaks for itself. Many of the fighters on our events participated in the Chicago Golden Gloves during their amateur careers.”
