1000 fans attend Abraham-Ayala open workout

Press Release: More than 1000 boxing fans were in attendance in Kiel, Germany today when Arthur Abraham and Elvin Ayala participated in an open training session ahead of their IBF middleweight title clash on Saturday night. "I am in great shape and I will win," the 28-year-old champion (25-0, 20 KOs) said. After a slow start to the session, King Arthur, who will make his seventh title defense, gave the crowd a look at his punching power. "It always takes some time for him to get going," coach Ulli Wegner said with a smile. Ayala was in the ring first, showing his hand speed and mobility. "I will definitely win," the 27-year-old (18-2, 8 KOs) said. "I have practiced very hard and can´t wait to get into the ring. I am really looking forward to Saturday." Also in action were regional cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez (14-0, 8 KOs), who is scheduled to face ex-champ Wayne Braithwaite (22-3, 18 KOs), and Cecilia Braekhus (5-0, 2 KOs).
