WBA welterweight champion Rolly Romero and former two-division world champion Teofimo Lopez held a media workout ahead of their world title clash that headlines a PBC pay-per-view event this Saturday, August 22nd from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Romero and Lopez will both enter the ring in the prime of their career, with Romero looking to add a second signature victory to his ledger after beating Ryan Garcia in 2025, while Lopez can become a three-division champion by wresting the title away. Wednesday’s workout also featured fighters competing on the pay-per-view undercard, including unbeaten middleweight Yoenli Hernandez and Argentina's Francisco Daniel Veron, who meet in a ten rounder, plus Interim WBA 122-pound titlsit Victor Santillan and Gary Antonio Russell, who duel in a twelve-round attraction, and junior welterweight Israel Mercado, who opens the pay-per-view card at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. facing Carlos Utria.
