ShoBox report
Kendall Holt W12 Isaac Hlatshwayo... Kendall "Rated R" Holt was too powerful for Isaac Hlatshwayo and punished the South African towards the end of their twelve-round junior welterweight bout en route to a unanimous decision by scores of 116-109 and 119-106 (twice). Holt decked Hlatshwayo three times, including once in the eleventh and once in the twelfth, and the fight should have been stopped in the last round but the referee seemed to be oblivious to Hlatshwayo, who was obviously exhausted. Holt told Boxingtalk the year-long layoff would not be a factor and he was true to his word, getting better as the Atlantic City fight went on. Holt is now 20-1, has a regional belt around his waist, and is established as a legitimate 140-pound contender. For Hlatshwayo, who was also cut over his eye, his first loss in 27 pro fights (he's 25-1 with 1 no contest) will be a bitter pill to swallow, like so many South African contenders who get beaten on American soil. source: ShoBox on Showtime
