"Prince" dethroned by Roy Jones

Roy Jones W12 Badi Ajamu... Roy Jones, Jr. dominated a not-ready-for-prime-time Prince Badi Ajamu in Boise, Idaho, taking all three judges' scorecards 119-106. Jones earned the 50th win of his storied career against four losses and put himself back in the light heavyweight mix. It was Jones' first win since 2003, when he defeated John Ruiz and then Antonio Tarver, but lost three straight after that. Ajamu, who tired after only a handful of rounds, lost three points for low blows. Rated #21 by Boxingtalk coming in, Ajamu falls to 25-3-1 and cedes his minor title belt to Jones, who already has a closet full of more significant ones. A logical next fight for Jones would be to challenge Bernard Hopkins for the true world championship and give Hopkins the chance to avenge a defeat from the 1990s. Hopkins has said he's retired, but in boxing, money always talks. source: associated press -- photo: www.sports.yahoo.com/box/photo?slug=83f210ff493a48c2b35541d5fa4cf2b0.jones_ajamu_boxing_idmc103&prov=ap
