 Josh Lupia and Lanardo Tyner to do battle in Toronto on Dec. 18th

Toronto will be home to another night of top-quality professional boxing, proudly brought to you by Lee Baxter Promotions. Headlining the event, welterweight Josh Lupia (8-0, 7 KOs) takes on Lanardo Tyner (35-16-2, 22 KOs) in an eight-round bout at Rebel Entertainment Complex on Sunday December 18th. Lupia, from Niagara Falls, is a two-time Canadian national amateur champion who returned to the boxing ring in July 2022 after a life-threating incident. Tyner, who calls himself the ‘Pain Server’, has 22 wins via knockout. Tyner has shared the ring and gone the distance with the likes of Jessie Vargas, Lamont Peterson and none other than Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. 
 
Lucas ‘Prince’ Bahdi (12-0, 11 KOs) will be in the co-feature against Cristian Bielma (19-4-2, 7 KOs) of Mexico. Bahdi, who is a three-time Canadian national amateur champion, has recently signed with Lee Baxter Promotions. For the first time as a pro, Bahdi went the full distance of ten rounds in his last bout before being declared the clear winner. 
 
Mississauga’s Amanda Galle (6-0-1 0 KOs), the Canadian super bantamweight champion showed immense heart her last time out after suffering a broken hand yet still earning her way to a hard-fought draw.  As an amateur, Galle was a three-time Canadian national amateur champion as well as being a four-time Ringside champion. She will be battling it out against Luz Elena Martinez (6-4, 3 KOs) in an eight-round matchup. 
 
Moe Zawadi (4-1, 4 KOs), will look to display his skills in his bout against Marco Parente (1-4-3, 0 KOs) of Woodbrige, Ontario. Zawadi, age 21, collected four Canadian national titles as an amateur. On November 19th, he travelled to Washington, D.C. where he got his fourth win.  
 
Canadian bantamweight champion, Ross Mylet (7-1-1, 0 KOs), is coming off a draw and will be back in action against Eduardo Cruz Munoz (21-17-1, 14 KOs). The Canadian champion has been working hard with his coach Billy Martin at Hardknocks Boxing Club. Munoz is on a two-fight win streak with both wins coming by way of knockout.
 
The first bout of the event will be a six-round contest between comebacking Uriel ‘Bombardero’ Perez (19-5, 18 KOs) and Roberto Verdugo (10-4-1, 4 KOs). Perez is a slick, fast-handed boxer with power. He now resides in Toronto. His loust bout was in 2019, a first-round loss to former WBO 140-pound champion, Maurice Hooker. Before this, Perez knocked out Quebec’s Mathieu Germain, who at the time was undefeated. Verdugo is a former Mexican 140-pound champion.
