DULORME SCORES KNOCKDOWN IN LAST FIFTEEN SECONDS TO PULL OUT A DRAW
By Scott Shaffer

Jessie Vargas D12 Thomas Dulorme ... A very entertaining welterweight battle between Jessie Vargas and Thomas Dulorme in Chicago ended in a draw.  Dulorme pulled out the draw by scoring a knockdown with ten seconds left in the last round.  Official scores were  113-113 (twice) and 115-111 for Vargas. A former WBO welterweight title holder, Vargas now has two straight draws, as he tied Adrian Broner in April. The bout was highlighted by a momentum shift from Dulorme to Vargas and back to Dulorme.  Now 29-2-1, Vargas lost the first three rounds and was cut over his eye by an accidental butt, but he tenaciously worked his way back into the fight.  A short right hand knocked Dulorme (24-4) down in round ten and Vargas appeared to be en route to a victory.  However, with ten seconds left in round twelve, Dulorme took two punches to land one and made the one really count, landing a  sudden right that that caused Vargas to touch his glove to the canvas for a knockdown. source: dazn
