QUILLIN SILENCES DOUBTERS, DOMINATES J'LEON LOVE
By G. Leon

Peter Quillin UD10 J'Leon Love: Former middleweight champion Peter Quillin easily handled J'Leon Love in a one sided fight. Quillin was supremely confident from the opening bell. He was talking trash with Love's promoter Floyd Mayweather Jr, in the second round and didn't really stop yapping in the first six rounds. Love per usual, gave up too much ground and found the ropes time and time again for no reason which allowed Quillin, 34-1-1 (23KO), to unload on him with full leverage behind his power shots. Neither fighter was badly hurt until round eight when Quillin rocked Love with a right hand and followed up looking to end the fight right then and there. Love, 24-2-1 (13KO), took several more heavy shots but ultimately survived the round. Not much happened in round nine, Love hardly punched and wasn't fighting like a guy who needed a knockout to win. On overall great performance from Quillin, who will now have plenty of options moving forward in the super middleweight division. Boxingtalk scored it 98-92 for Quillin. Official scores were 99-91 and 98-92 twice. Source: Fox
