Ema Kozin W10 Eva Bajic... Slovenia's Ema Kozin (14-0) was pencilled in to face South Africa's Mapule Ngubane on Sunday in Budapest, Hungary. Instead the middleweight ended up re-matching former IBF welterweight titlist Eva Bajic (14-14) from Serbia. Kozin had also been scheduled to face Ngubane in March, but due to visa problems she took on Bajic on short notice, and won that bout by fifth round stoppage. This time, the exact same thing happened, no visa for Ngubane and in stepped Bajic at the last minute. Since their first bout, Bajic fought three times, winning once and losing decisions to IBO champion Mikaela Lauren and Layla McCarter. Bajic, who held the IBF welterweight title in 2013 and never lost it in the ring, was a worthy substitute, but after ten rounds it was clear that Kozin desreved the win. Two judges accurately scored it 97-93 and 97-94 in her favor. According to the WBF, "judge Emeke Halas must have been watching from the bar, as she didn't give a single round to Kozin and inexcusably scored the fight 100-90 for Bajic, making it a totally misleading, unjustifiable split decision. source: wbf
