DIBELLA LAUGHS OFF EDDIE HEARN'S FIRST OFFER

Matchroom offers Wilder between $10M - $15M for Joshua
Promoter Eddie Hearn said he was preparing an offer for undefeated WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder to face undefeated WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO champion Anthony Joshua and he's done just that. Unfortunately the offer is far from where it needs to be for the fight to happen next. Boxingtalk understands that Matchroom has offered the Wilder camp between $10 million and $15 million as a flat guarantee that doesn't include considerations on gate, PPV and other revenue streams. Wilder's promoter Lou DiBella would not comment on the matter with anything other than uproarious laughter for now, but we expect to have more reaction shortly. Even if Wilder were offered the full $15 million (which he was not), that would likely only represent 20-25% of the money the fight would make. Hearn was unavailable for immediate comment. Much more to follow.
