Greg Leon: Congrats on your victory over Juan Jesus Rivera (28-20) [by six-round decision] in South Dakota this weekend. Can you give us some thoughts on your performance?
Charles Conwell: "I feel like I did okay. I could always do better. I would have liked to have gotten him out of there, but he was a veteran with more than 45 fights under his belt. I feel like there's some things I've got to work on, so I'm going to get back to drawing board and get that work in when I get back to the gym"
GL: What would you have liked to do that you didn't do during the fight?
CC: "I would probably have jabbed more and worked his body a lot more than I did."
GL: It sounds like you're disappointed he went the distance.
CC: "I kind of am, but it's OK. I learned a lot in the fight and I'm going to apply it moving forward."
GL: Do you have any idea when the next one is going to be?
CC: "Hopefully in April or somtime in May."
GL: When will you have your first eight-round fight?
CC: "The next one will be an eight. Actually this last one was supposed to be an eight, but then we moved it back to a six at the last minute."
GL: What do you feel like you need to improve on before taking a step up fight?
CC: "I just need to get more experience in the ring, I need to jab more, I need to keep learning. It's not just one thing though, I need to do everything better."
GL: Closing thoughts?
CC: "Thanks to all the fans for supporting me. I'm still getting better. I'm still getting stronger and I can't wait to see y'all for the next one."
