ROY JONES GOES OUT ON HIS OWN TERMS
By Scott Shaffer

Roy Jones W10 Scott Sigmon... If Roy Jones Jr.'s brilliant 29-year pro career is really over, it ended on a high note, with the former multi-division champ defeating Scott Sigmon (30-12-1) at home in Pensacola, Florida. There were no knockdowns, but Jones won easily, by three scores of 98-92.  Jones won his fourth straight, admittedly against less than world-class competition, to close out his pro record at 66-9.  With championships at middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight, plus the outstanding boxer award in the 1988 Olympics, it's great to see the man walk into the sunset on his own terms. Boxingtalk congratulates Jones on a Hall of Fame career and hopes to see him behind an HBO microphone only. source: forbes
