Press Release: Boxing returns to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on Saturday, November 25th with a cruiserweight main event as Moldovan-born Constantin Bejenaru (12-0, 3KOs) battles Thabiso "The Rock" Mchunu (18-3, 13KO'S) of South Africa over ten rounds. Bejenaru is coming off two quality victories seen on Showtime's ShoBox series. The New Generation-- Stivens Bujaj and Alexey Zubov.
A native of the Eastern European country, Moldova, Bejenaru is a quick-handed aggressive fighter who has not fought since a dominant victory against Bujaj in his last fight on November 4, 2016.
Mchunu is no stranger to big fights having challenged Oleksandr Usyk for the WBO cruiserweight title on December 17th of last year. Mchunu fell short, getting stopped in the ninth round. He rebounded with a victory over Johnny Muller (20-8-2) in June. Mchunu holds a victory over Eddie Chambers which also took place at Mohegan Sun Arena in 2013.
Bejenaru had this to say about his upcoming fight, "The Bejenaru Team is facing a world class boxer who fought for a world title.
