GL: How has everything been going in preparation for October 28? Everything is going great. I just got finished sparring ten rounds Toka-Khan and it was great work. GL: What do you know about Cruz? What are your thoughts on him as a fighter? He's a good figher and he comes to fight. He uses his head a little bit I think and I know a couple of his fights have been stopped because of cuts. He's a tricky fighter, but we're training for everything.
GL: How do you feel about back to back fights at Foxwoods?
Matt Remillard: "I love it. Foxwoods is a great atmosphere and it's one of a kind. I love fighting in front of the home town fans and I would like to continue to fight there until I hopefully move on to something bigger next year."
GL: What are you hoping a victory over Cruz leads to?
MR: "Something big next year. I want some TV dates, I want bigger names and I want to get into the mix and get back to the top. Our slogan is unfinished business because I'm trying to get back what we lost."
GL: It's scheduled for ten, do you see it going the distance?
MR: "I'm ready to go for fifteen rounds. If it goes the distance, it goes the distance what's most important to me is to put on a crowd pleasing fight. If it ends early, I want to end on my choice, that's where I'm at. I have to win impressively in order to be able to surprise people and if that's a knockout so be it."
GL: is there anything you'd like to say in closing?
MR: "I want to thank Boxingtalk and all of my supporters, tune in on October 28 at Foxwoods, it's going to be a great night."
