WBO BANTAMWEIGHT ELIMINATOR ADDED TO BRITISH CARD
Press Release: Young heavyweight Daniel Dubois (1-0) has been added to Saturday’s show in Leicester England. He will face Manchester-based Cameroonian Blaise Mendouo (3-1) over four rounds, live on BT Sport and BoxNation. It took Dubois just 35 seconds to blast out Cornwall’s Marcus Kelly in his pro debut at the Manchester Arena earlier this month. Mendouo, 32, made his professional debut against Istvan Orsos back in 2015 has racked up 18 rounds during his four outings. Mendouo went on to score points wins over Moses Matovu and Shane Kavanagh and has never been put down in his career. On the same show, former IBF 115-pound champion Zolani Tete (24-3) of South Africa faces Arthur Villanueva (30-1) of the Philippines in a final eliminator for the WBO bantamweight championship. In the main event, Tommy Langford faces ‘mini Mike Tyson’ Avtandil Khurtsidze for the WBO middleweight interim title. Also, Jahmaine ‘Smasher’ Smyle (14-4-2) faces Darryl Williams (14-0) at super middleweight.
