GL: Congrats on your victory, can you give us some thoughts on your performance? It was great, it was a great beginning. I think I did what I needed to do, I want to build a fan base and I want people to love how I fight as I show them who I am. GL: You got rid of your opponent in the first round, were you hoping to get more rounds under your belt? No, I am very happy. The style wasn't easy, but it didn't take me long to show who was the boss in the ring.
GL: As a former Olympian are you disappointed that the fight wasn't shown on TV?
Eimantas Stanionis: "No, it's just the beginning, it's no problem for me. It's just the first step, I'm glad I got the victory and put on a good performance, so everything is fine."
GL: How much time will you take off before you return to the gym?
ES: "I will be back in the gym tomorrow getting back to work. (laughs)"
GL: When are you hoping that your next fight takes place?
ES: "I don't know yet, but we will see. I need to go back to my country to finish my bachelor's so we will see. I am getting my bachelor's degree in sports science. I've already done the work so I just have to present it and pick up my degree. I will only be gone for a little while, but I'm proud to get the degree because it's going to help me prepare myself better and train smarter."
GL: I spoke to a couple of other RingStar prospects and they said that they will be back in June or July. Is that what you're expecting?
ES: "Yes, it should be something like this, but we will see."
GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?
ES: "I hope they liked my show, I will keep improving in every fight and I will be much in each fight, so thank you for your support."
