SHUN KUBO STOPS NEHOMAR CERMEÑO

Shun Kubo TKO11 Nehomar Cermeño ... Japan's Shun Kubo (12-0) beat Venezuela's Nehomar Cermeño (26-6-1) on Sunday in Osaka, Japan to win the WBA 122-pound regular title. The title Kubo acquired is secondary to the WBA super championship in the same weight class that already belongs to Cuba's Guillermo Rogndeaux. Kubo began with a strategy of getting in and out, constantly using his jab by combining it with the straight right. In the seventh round, Cermeño sent Kubo to the canvas, but his advantage was short-lived. At the end of round ten, it was clear that Cermeño wouldn’t come out for the next round. Thus, after the first five seconds of the eleventh, referee Roberto Ramirez Jr. declared victory for Kubo by TKO. source: wba
