GL: How is everything going in training camp? What can we expect to see from you on fight night? Training camp is going very well. I am learning lots of new things and enjoy training with Sugar Hill. The night of the fight you will see a different style from me. I think it will surprise Nieves the style change I experienced since my last televised fight.
GL: What do you know about Antonio Nieves? What are your thoughts of him as a fighter?
Nikolay Potapov: Nieves is a good fighter very skilled and technical. It's going to be an interesting fight.
GL: What kind of fight do you think this will be? A boxing match or a brawl?
NP: I think this will be a fight of smart aggressive boxing.
GL: Do you think the winner of this fight should be fighting for a world title in the very near future?
NP: My only goal right now is to defeat Nieves. I will worry about the rest later
GL: Do you consider Nieves the most difficult test of your career?
NP: We will see according to the fight. I shared the right with other very good fighters as well.
GL: What weaknesses do you see in Nieves that you feel you'll be able to exploit on fight night?
NP: I will try to take advantage of his weaknesses during the fight.
GL: What do you consider your biggest advantage coming into this fight?
NP: I believe my advantage is speed.
GL: Other than victory do you have a prediction?
NP: I prepare myself to win this fight and give it everything I got in that ring.
GL: What does a victory on March 10 mean to you?
NP: It's a very important step in my career I want to fight the best fighters in my division. A victory will mean that I am doing everything the right way in terms of my preparations.
