PUERTO RICO VS. PHILADELPHIA RIVALRY TO BE RENEWED ON SYMBOLIC SEPT 11TH DATE

Boxingtalk's Stephen "Breadman" Edwards points out that thirteen years ago, there was a fight scheduled for September 15th between Puerto Rico's and Philadelphia's best middleweights- Felix Trinidad and Bernard Hopkins. But an incident occurred on four days before the fight that altered history (the September 11th terrorist attacks), so Hopkins-Trinidad was rescheduled to September 29th. Of course, Hopkins made boxing history by defeating Trinidad in Madison Square Garden. Now 13 years later, there is another Puerto Rico vs. Phialdehpia fight scheduled for September 11th. The fight will be between Julian Williams (16-0) of Philadelphia and Eliezer Gonzalez (14-0) of Puerto Rico. Williams is trained by Edwards. Both of these young men will put their undefeated records on the line on Fox Sports 1 on September 11th.
