DIRRELL TAKES WBC TITLE FROM BIKA
Anthony Dirrell W12 Sakio Bika: Anthony Dirrell came out very quickly to start his rematch with Sakio Bika. Following a take down thirty seconds into the bout referee Jack Reiss had to call time and calm down the ugly action down. He did not succeed however. Dirrell was clearly the better fighter throughout and landed the cleaner punches. He did whatever necessary to stay calm amidst the rough house tactics Sakio Bika is known for. There were Bika rabbit punches, take downs and head butts, but Dirrell kept his composure and remained disciplined enough to easily walk away with the WBC super middleweight championship. Official scores were 114-113, 116-111, 117-110. Boxingtalk scored it 117-110.
