BONUS BREAD: (3-7-14)
By Stephen "Breadman" Edwards
Bread you are the fairest opinionated dude in boxing and I respect your words as if its Biblical for boxing, but I did not understand your claim that Ruslan Provodnikov deserves the opportunity to fight Floyd Mayweather more than Marcos Maidana. Providnikov put up a valiant effort against Tim Bradley but LOST.
He then dropped back to 140 and beat the weakest titleholder there. I would love to see the fight, but to me he is in the same boat as Khan, no significant wins at 147...whoever wants Floyd next should go after Shawn Porter so they can use the IBF title as a bargaining chip to offer Floyd Mayweather the chance to go undisputed...but i agree with you, the James Kirkland fight is the one that shouldve been made and would have sold well. what an event that could be...
154 pounds, man its gonna ger hectic in the next year or two! your boy Julian "Jrock" Williams, Demetrius Andrade, the Charlo twins, and many more prospects/contenders to go up against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, Erislandy Lara, Alfredo Angulo, Austin Trout...who is on top when the smoke clears??? (p.s. i think Jrock should take Cornelius "K9" Bundrage out next)
On another note, what is my man Andre Ward doing other than wasting his prime? why dont he just do like Gennady Golovkin and at least stay busy in Oakland and rack up defenses to stay in the public eye... i know you have touched on this before, but what do u think of Jesse Hart? the kid has been doing a lot of talking and drinking that Arum coolaid but he needs to chill. he has ossie duran next but i heard he is trying to make a fight with Ronald Hearns??? Hearns has been KOed at 154 and Hart, a big 168 wants him? cmon man! if this doesnt get posted and if u do have the time let me know what you think in a response. Feed us Breadman!

Breadís Response: What up JJ? Tim Bradley is no worse than the 5th or 6th best fighter in the world. What Provodnikov did against him was more impressive than what Maidana did against Broner. Ruslan may have won that fight bro. He lost by a couple of points and was ďjobbedĒ out of knockdown, look at the fight again. Ruslan also beat Mike Alvarado who was the favorite. Alavarado had only one avenged loss on his record. Itís a close argument but I think Ruslan is a little more deserving.
I wish Ward would stay busier. Heís such a great fighter. He doesnít have anything on the books . Hopefully things pick up for him soon. I believe Ward is going through some things with his promoter and itís causing great inactivity. I love watching him fight. By the way I love that Golovkin stays busy until something big comes along.
Jesse Hart is a really good prospect at 168lbs. And youíre right heís huge. He would kill Ronald Hearns who is done. I know Jesse wanted Badou Jack but Jack was just kod. I think Jleon Love is better than Jack anyway. I would love to see Jesse fight Love or Brandon Gonzales. That would determine who is the best American prospect is, at 168lbs. Iím not sure if a fight with Love can be made but Gonzales should be an easy fight to make. Letís hope it happens that would be an excellent match up.
