ZAHIR RAHEEM TO FACE TIM COLEMAN ON NOV. 2ND
Press Release: Zahir Raheem will return to the Emerald Queen Casino in Fife, Washington on November 2nd to take on Las Vegas’ Tim Coleman. The bout will be scheduled for ten rounds with a 143-pound limit. Raheem is coming off two straight wins since returning to action under the Halquist Productions banner. Tickets can be purchased at the Emerald Queen Casino box office or through Ticketmaster. Raheem (33-3-0, 20 KOs), known for his dominating unanimous decision victory over Erik Morales in 2005, was inactive in 2011 and 2012 but knocked the rust off with knockout victories over Santos Pakau (28-8-2) in March and Justin Juuko (45-12-1) in June.
Raheem lives in Atlanta and trains out of his King Raheem’s gym.
Coleman (19-3-1, 5 KOs) holds wins over Mike Arnaoutis and Patrick Lopez in what has remained as his signature victory. Coleman has most recently appeared twice on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights, losing to Vernon Paris and Kendall Holt.
“The Raheem vs. Coleman fight is a career fight for both fighters,” said promoter, Brian Halquist. “Whoever comes out on top on November 2nd will definitely have a shot at something much larger.”
On the undercard portion of the show, one of Washington’s premier hopefuls, Jeremy McCleary, will be making his professional debut. He will be taking on Manuel Ortega in a four-round battle with a weight agreement of 132 pounds.
