HERNANDEZ RETAINS WBC STRAP
By Scott Shaffer
Adrian Hernandez TKO4 Atsushi Kakutani... In Mexico City, Adrian Hernandez survived a first-round knockdown to retain his WBC 108-pound belt against a lightly credentialed contended, Atsushi Kakutani of Japan. Hernandez (28-2-1) knocked Kakutani down three times in the fourth round for the win. Hernandez has stayed busy, making three defenses of his title this year, but all against soft opposition. Kakutani, (13-4-1) never captured a Japanese domestic title and only has one good win on his record, in 2011 over Katsuya Matsuura. source: supersport.com
