ALAMODOME "SOLD OUT"; SHOWTIME EXTREME BOUTS ANNOUNCED

Press Release: The 38,000 fans in the sold out Alamodome tomorrow night  are in for non-stop action as the undercard for Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Austin "No Doubt" Trout showdown is now complete.  [Editor's note: we commend Golden Boy for selling 38,000 tickets, a huge amount, but the same building sold about 59,000 tickets for Pernell Whitaker-Julio Cesar Chavez in 1993]. Jermall Charlo and Julian Williams will be joined by 2012 U.S. Olympian Terrell Gausha in the Showtime Extreme bouts that will lead into the main Showtime telecast featuring undefeated lightweights Omar Figueroa Jr. against Abner Cotto followed by the highly anticipated Alvarez-Trout world 154-pound championship bout.

In the Showtime Extreme headliner, Houston's Charlo, twin brother of top contender Jermell, puts his 12-0 record on the line when he battles Mexico's Orlando Lora (29-3-2) in a 154-pound bout scheduled for eight rounds.

Plus, an eight-round middleweight contest between Philadelphia's Williams (11-0-1) and Escondido, California's Dashon Johnson (14-10-3) and in a four-round middleweight swing bout, 2012 U.S. Olympian Gausha (3-0) of Cleveland meets up with Valley, Alabama's William Waters (2-3).

Off-tv, in an eight-round flyweight contest, unbeaten Ivan Morales (20-0), the brother of legendary Erik Morales, will continue to make a name for himself when  he faces Mexico's Raul Hidalgo (17-7, 13 KO's).

At 122 pounds, Mexico's Andres Gutierrez (25-0-1) faces countryman Salvador "Sal II" Sanchez (30-5-3), the nephew of the late Salvador Sanchez.

Local San Antonio hero Raul Martinez (29-2) continues his comeback in bantamweight action, as he takes on Omar Gonzales (5-8) in a four-round battle. In the four-round junior lightweight opener, Houstonite Miguel Flores (10-0) meets Weslaco's Guadalupe De Leon (8-13).
