HUCK EXTENDS DEAL WITH SAUERLAND
Press Release: WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck (35-2-1, 25 KOs) has extended his promotional contract with Team Sauerland until the end of 2014. "I'm glad that Team Sauerland, Wilfried Sauerland and myself have come to an agreement," said the 28-year-old Huck. "Thus far, our partnership has been very successful and I want it to continue it that way. Now everyone has clarity." The contract includes at least six more fights, with the next fight being a third bout against Ola Afolabi. Huck beat Afolabi (19-2-4, 9 KOs) in December of 2009 and their second meeting ended in a draw in May of last year. No date was announced yet due to complications from Don King Productions. Chris Meyer, managing director of Sauerland Event said, "At the moment we have to wait. Don King won the purse bid but couldn't deliver the fight. The WBO will soon clarify the situation... We are hoping to stage this bout in the first half of 2013."
