YORGEY HEADLINES FIRST BOXING SHOW VALLEY FORGE CASINO ON FRIDAY NIGHT
By Matt Goldstein
The newly opened Valley Forge Casino in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania will host its first boxing show on Friday night headlined by popular junior middleweight Harry Joe Yorgey. The show will be promoted by Marshall Kauffman’s Kings Promotions. With a record of 25-2-1, Yorgey is coming off of a knockout loss to Jermell Charlo. Yorgey has the athleticism of a world class fighter but time will tell if he can put it back together and make a serious run at a world title title opportunity. With Kauffman now serving as his trainer, maybe there is still something left in the tank for the 35 year-old fighter. Yorgey will be taking on Julius Kennedy, who sports a pro record of 7-3-1. Yorgey grew up just minutes from the Valley Forge casino in nearby Bridgeport and the hometown appearance will be an emotional one, with tickets expected to sell out. The card also features Pennsylvania state lightweight champion Naim Nelson (9-0 against Georgi Kevlishvili (12-4). Tickets can be purchased at http://vfboxing.eventbrite.com/.
