RARE THAI VS. AFRICAN TITLE FIGHT SET FOR NEXT WEEKEND
Press Release: The WBO 118-pound title will be at stake when “Machinery Fist” Pungluang Sor Singyu, the only current world titlist from Thailand defends his title in Namibia against mandatory contender Paulus Ambunda, 19-0, on March 3rd . Sor Singyu, 43-1, won the vacant title by defeating AJ Banal last year. He and promoter Siraphop Ratanasuban have embarked on an 11-hour trip to Johannesburg, South Africa and then to Windhoek, Namibia for the fight. Ratanasuban reports Puengluang has studied films of the challenger throughly and is prepared to return home his title successful. The 118-pound contest will be televised live in Thailand (on channel 7) at 3 am on March 3rd.
