YET ANOTHER MAJOR FIGHT OFF DUE TO INJURY

According to ESPN, heavyweight contender Jonathon Banks has a broken thumb and will be unable to fight Seth Mitchell in Atlantic City next week. Banks defeated Mitchell in November and the rematch was to be shown on HBO on February 16th. In the past two weeks, Danny Garcia and Devon Alexander have both pulled out of major fights claiming injury, although Alexander, and to a lesser extent Garcia, both have doubters questioning the legitimacy of the injuries. ESPN speculated thhat Sakio Bika vs. the undefeated, unknown, untested and unpronouncable Nikola Sjekloca could be added to the HBO telecast underneath Adrien Broner vs. Gavin Rees on February 16th. --Scott Shaffer
