MANFREDO-SPINA II LIKELY FOR MARCH 15TH

Boxingtalk has learned from a reliable source that "The Pride of Providence", Peter Manfredo, Jr. is set to return on March 15th in a rematch against Joey "KO Kid" Spina. The likely venue is Rhode Island's Twin River Casino. The first bout took place back in 2006 and was won by Manfredo (38-7 with 20 KOs) who stopped Spina (26-3 with 18 KOs) in the third round. Spina lost both of his 2012 fights and has not won since 2010, while Manfredo returned from retirement last year to outpoint Rayco Saunders. Manfredo-Spina II is expected to be contested at, or just above, the super middleweight limit of 168 pounds.
