GONZALEZ LOOKING FOR KO ON FNF

PRESS RELEASE: Puerto Rican power puncher Jonathan "Mantequilla" González (15-0-1, 13 KOs) will face Derek Ennis (23-3-1, 13 KOs) of Philadelphia on Friday, January 4th at the Magic City Casino in Miami, Florida.  It will be a co-feature on ESPN2's Friday Night Fights broadcast, scheduled for ten rounds in the junior middleweight division.

Ennis has victories over Puerto Ricans Gabriel Rosado and Edwin "Zazule" Vázquez.

For this fight, "Mantequilla" is training in Miami, Florida under the supervision of trainers, John David Jackson and Melvin "Chico" Ramos. "I'm very happy with the preparation.  I'm in the best shape of my career, and at the end of the fight, the result will be a knockout" said a confident González, who is promoted by Warriors Boxing, Universal Promotions and Gary Shaw Productions.

"I have been in the gym regularly during this camp, and Jonathan has never looked better," Leon Margules, President of Warriors Boxing" said. I truly believe Jonathan is an incredible talent who the boxing world will take notice of on January 4th."

"Once again Jonathan will have another opportunity to display the kind of boxing skill that made him a terrific amateur," said Gary Shaw. "The fact that Gonzales trained outside of Puerto Rico, proves he's dedicated to this important fight on ESPN."

"Jonathan is an incredible talent" said Javier Bustillo, president of Universal Promotions. "On January 4, we will see the beginning of another major Puerto Rican boxer, who will give so much to talk about in 2013".

Headlining the event is a ten-round lightweight bout between Rances Barthelemy (17-0, 11 KOs) and Arash Usmanee (20-0, 10 KOs).

Gonzalez vs. Ennis can also be seen on ESPN Deportes, as well as online through WatchESPN.com, and on smartphones/tablets via the WatchESPN app.
