ANDRADE-HERNANDEZ HEADLINES 2013 SHOBOX DATE

Press Release: On Friday, January 25, 2013, ShoBox comes to The Paramount in Huntington, N.Y. Headlining will be a ten-round junior middleweight bout between Demetrius "Boo Boo" Andrade (18-0-0, 13KOs) of Providence, RI and Freddy Hernandez (30-3-0, 20 KOs) of Mexico City. A 24-year-old southpaw Andrade won the 2007 World Amateur Championships, the first American do so since 1999. However, Hernandez is certainly the biggest challenge of Andrade's career. The hard-hitting Hernandez holds recent wins over Luis Collazo, Mike Anchondo and DeMarcus Corley. Most recently he challenged top contender Erislandy Lara on June 30th, coming up short in a ten-round bout.
