LATE RESULT: ADRIAN HERNANDEZ REGAINS WBC 108-POUND TITLE

Adrian Hernandez TKO6 Kompayak Porpramook... Over the weekend, Mexico's Adrian Hernandez defeated Thaiand's Kompayak Porpramook via sixth-round knockout to regain the WBC 108-pound title in Toluca, Mexico. Hernandez's first reign, in 2011, ended when Porpramook stopped him in Thailand, so the stage is set for a third bout. Right at the end of the third round, Hernandez (25-2-1) landed a right hook on the side of the Thai's face, dropping him very hard. Badly hurt, Porpramook got up and fought back valiantly until the bell. At the start of the fourth round, the Thai, who was still shaking off the effects of the knockdown, blatantly head butted Hernandez, slicing open his left eyebrow. Panamanian Referee Hector Afu immediatly deducted a point from Porpramook. Hernandez ignored the trickle of blood. Meanwhile, the Thai's face was swelling badly. In the sixth, Hernandez set up Porpramook with a straight left and then  exploded a right to the jaw. The Thai fighter showed resillience  by somehow clambering to his feet, but his legs had betrayed him. He hestitated for what seemed to be an eternity as Afu beckoned him forward, and that was more than enough for the fight to be rightly stopped. source: WBC
