FLORES TO FACE MCNEMAR ON SATURDAY
Press Release: David McNemar has stepped in for the injured Ahmed Samir and on Saturday, he will take on cruiserweight BJ Flores in a ten rounder in Springfield, Missouri. McNemar of Parkersburg, West Virginia has a record of 13-1 with 10 KOs, and is coming off his lone defeat, by unanimous decision Ryan Coyne (16-0) on June 25, 2011. [McNemar, age 39, has not fought since then.] This will be the fourth fight in fifteen months for Flores (27-1-1, 17 KOs). Flores' last fight was a stoppage of Hugo Pineda (39-5-1) on January 28th, and since then, he has been busy as a television commentator. ďI am looking forward to fighting in front of my hometown fans againĒ, said Flores.
ďAfter Samir pulled out, we offered the fight to five or six undefeated guys but McNemar was the one who stepped up to the plate and accepted. I know he is coming to win, so I expect a tough fight but at the end of the day I am ranked very high across the board and itís very possible and even likely that I will fight for a title in my next fight , so I canít look past McNemar.
