ADRIAN BRONER IN LINE FOR LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

UPDATE: Adrian Broner has chosen to fight Antonio Demarco for Demarco's WBC lightweight title. WBO president Paco Valcarcel issued the following statement on the WBO's website concerning his organization's lightweight champion Ricky Burns: "Last weekend, Ricky Burns successfully faced Kevin Mitchell at the Scottish Exhibition Center, in Glasgow, Scotland.  The press has been speculating with the possibility of Harrison landing the winner of the Burns-Mitchell bout. However, Burns' next bout will be his mandatory and Harrison is not even classified." Broner, a former 130-pound title holder, lost the WBO title in that division when he could not make the weight, but he is now listed underneath Burns as the WBO's #1 contender in the 135-pound division. --Scott Shaffer
