HBO CRUSHES SHOWTIME IN SATURDAY'S RATINGS BATTLE

According to Yahoo! Sports, Nielsen Media Research credited HBO's Andre Ward-Chad Dawson broadcast with 1.3 million viewers last Saturday, while Showtime's Lucas Matthysse-Ajose Olusegun drew 344,000 viewers on the same night. HBO is likely overjoyed with the 1.3 million number considering Ward's win over Carl Froch on Showtime drew 580,000 pairs of eyes. In fairness to Showtime, Saturday's planned main event of Randall Bailey vs. Devon Alexander was scratched due to a Bailey back injury. --Scott Shaffer
