JENNINGS TO STAY BUSY VS. KOVAL
Press Release: Heavyweight Bryant Jennings (14-0 with 6 KOs) faces Youngstown, Ohio's Chris Koval, on September 8th, 2012 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Although Tomasz Adamek (46-2 with 28 KOs) will have star billing that night against Travis Walker (39-7-1 with 31 KOs) in the main event, the pressure will be on Jennings to stay undefeated against Koval (25-9 with 18 KOs).
The 27-year old was a relative latecomer to the sport. However in 2012, he has made up for lost time. Recently Hall-of-Fame trainer Freddie Roach called Jennings America's best young heavyweight prospect. Jennings has recent victories over Maurice Byarm, Sergei Liakhovich and Steve Collins.
The heavily-favored Jennings dare not take the September 8th bout lightly. "Special K" Koval is a 30-year old puncher who will be looking to vault himself into the heavyweight picture. [However, Koval is just 2-7 in his last nine bouts].
