HAYE STOPS CHISORA IN FIVE
By Scott Shaffer

David Haye TKO5 Dereck Chisora... David Haye put himself back in the top five of the heavyweight division by stopping Dereck Chisora in the fifth round of an all-British heavyweight fight today. As Chisora flailed amateurishly in the fifth, Haye cracked him with a left hook and follow up right that resulted in the first knockdown. A few seconds later, another left hook dropped Chisora flat on his back. Chisora beat the count but referee Luis Pabon did not let the action continue when Chisora wobbled forward. Now 25-2, Haye had been inactive for a year since losing to Wladimir Klitschko, but this win puts him right back in the picture for a big money title fight against either Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko. The fact that Haye stopped Chisora early, while Chisora lasted twleve rounds in a loss to Vitali does not mean Haye would be favored to beat Vitali, but it certainly makes for an interesting selling point for the fight. Chisora, who now has four losses in his last four significant fights (although one was probably not deserved), needs a good win to be regarded as a contender again. source: epix
