LAMONT CHEATERSON?
Peterson allegedly tests positive for banned substance; Khan rematch in doubt
It appears as if the May 19th rematch between Lamont Peterson and Amir Khan is in grave danger of not happening. According to an article published by the British newspaper The Sun, the showdown between is on the brink of being cancelled because Peterson allegedly tested positive for synthetic testosterone in March in a test conducted by by VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association). It was reportedly Peterson who requested that the OSTD (Olympic Style Drug Testing) be implemented throughout both fighter's training camps. The urine test was collected on March 19th and the B sample is currently being tested to rule out any false positives. Peterson was unavailable for a comment when I called him earlier on this evening, when the news broke out. Stay tuned for updates to come. --John McCormick
