PIROG DEFEATS ISHIDA IN RUSSIA

Dmitry Pirog W12 Nobuhiro Ishida... On the Russian holiday of May Day, Russia's Dmitry Pirog defeated Japan's Nobuhiro Ishida via unanimous decision in Moscow. to remain unbeaten and retain his WBO middleweight title. The official scores were 120-108, 119-109 and 118-111. Ishida, lightly regarded and coming off a loss to Paul Williams in his last fight, falls to 24-8-2. Pirog, now 20-0, won the vacant title against Danny Jacobs in 2010, but has been marking time with three low-key defenses since then.  With world middleweight champion Sergio Martinez and WBC beltholder Julio Cesar Chavez unwilling to fight him, there has been speculation Pirog will seek a unification with his IBF counterpart, Daniel Geale. source: fox news
