YONHHY PEREZ HAS A NEW MANAGER
Press Release: IBF bantamweight champion Yohnny Perez (20-0) signed a managerial contract with Frank Espinoza this morning in front of officials from the California State Athletic Commission. “I’m proud to be part of the Espinoza Boxing family,” stated Perez, a Colombian fighting out of L.A. “I truly believe he’ll take my career to the next level.” Espinoza commented, “Yohnny has demonstrated world class abilities and heart,” he said. “He’s a true warrior in every sense of the word. The future is only going to get better and brighter for Yohnny. I look forward to working with Yohnny, his trainer Danny Zamora and his promoters at Thompson Boxing and Gary Shaw Promotions.” The 31 year old Perez recently retained his crown after fighting to a draw against Abner Mares, who is also managed by Espinoza. This will be the sixth world champion under Espinoza’s charge. He also managed Israel Vazquez and Martin Castillo.
