Since losing a welterweight championship challennge to Errol Spece in June 2018, Ocampo, from Baja California, moved up  and has posted five victories, four of them by stoppage... The co-feature, scheduled for eight rounds at welterweight, matches Sinaloa's Jorge “Chino” García (18-2, 16 KOs) against Tijuana's José “Berna” Lozano (listed 8-0, 8 KOs).
